Liturgical
A member of this ministry, called a “disciple” prays daily for the people on one assigned page of our parish directory, so that all of our members are prayed for on a daily basis.
This ministry meets weekly to keep our church clean, and decorates it for each liturgical season.
Young men from grades 4 & up assist the clergy in the liturgical services of the church.
The choir sings on Sundays and at other services throughout the year. Rehearsal is on Wednesday evenings.
The ushers help with the orderly celebration of our worship services.
Outreach
We are affiliated with an interfaith coalition to serve the homeless in Tampa Bay on the third Saturday of the month and other times during the year.
The Food Pantry coordinates donations of non-perishable food and supports outreach efforts for individuals and families in need within our parish and local community.
The Nursing Ministry sponsors healthcare screenings and other health and wellness initiatives and programs in our parish.
The Ladies Philoptochos Society is a women’s organization dedicated to providing aid for the poor and needy and enriching our parish life.
Stewardship
This capital improvement project will expand our church sanctuary and renovate the ministry building and other campus facilities. Mike is the overall chairperson.

The Finance Committee oversees the many financial aspects of our church, including the annual budget, directed gifts, endowments and capital campaigns.
The safety ministry is comprised of volunteers who work to keep parishioners safe during Sunday services and other parish events.
The Stewardship Committee is comprised of volunteers who promote stewardship of time, talent, and treasure in our church.
The Welcome Ministry invites those who are new in our community to worship with us and encourages those who wish to connect with our many ministries.
The Youth Protection Ministry (YPM) facilitates background checks on all volunteers and makes sure all volunteers are current in their YPM training.
Youth
This ministry seeks to break down barriers that keep children with disabilities and their families from being able to participate in the Church community.
GOYA is our teenage youth group, for 7th – 12th grades. They meet monthly for fellowship and a spiritual discussion, as well as events and retreats in the Tampa Bay area.
This ministry serves our youngest, as ages 3 through 6th grade come together for spiritual retreats, social events and service projects.
The JOY Tweens are a subgroup of our HOPE/JOY, specifically for our 4th – 6th grade students who come together for fellowship and spiritual discussion.
The Junior Olympics is an annual athletic tournament for GOYAns from around Florida and is held each June.
This is an annual opportunity to give teenagers the challenge to learn, write and speak about their Orthodox Faith.
Weekly Sunday school classes, from August – May, teach our children, grades Pre-K3 – 12, about the Orthodox Faith. Classes are held after Holy Communion.
Young Adult
Provides encouragement and fellowship activities for Orthodox Christian college students from Tampa who are away for college and students from other cities who are attending local schools.
Our Young Adults, roughly ages 21-40, meet monthly for spiritual renewal and social and fellowship activities.
Adult Education
A traditional Bible Study is offered weekly throughout the year. A zoom option is available for those who cannot attend in person.
This group meets monthly for fellowship, food, and discussion on being an Orthodox man of God in today’s world.
These classes are held twice a year, teaching the basics of Orthodox theology and practice, for those who want to learn more about the Orthodox faith.
These classes provide a deeper dive into the topics covered by Orthodoxy 101, for those who want to learn more about the Orthodox faith.
The Prayer Team is a daily emailed inspirational reflection sent to subscribers to encourage prayer for our parish, our priests, and fellow Orthodox Christians.
This Bible study is for women to gather weekly to discuss the Bible, Orthodoxy and Christian life. It is available in person or on zoom.
Cultural and Social
Greek language lessons for adults are offered weekly from September through May.
This group promotes Hellenic culture and education by having fellowship gatherings and offering scholarships.

This group of volunteers offers those attending the Annual January Gasparilla Festivities a safe place to park as a fundraiser for our church.
Each November, our church hosts the Tampa Greek Festival, which shares our culture and faith with the greater Tampa Bay community.
This dance group serves our church through dance performances at our annual Greek festival, community service, worship and stewardship.
This dance group teaches our teens Greek folk dances and allows them to share our culture at our annual Greek Festival.
This includes current and former members of the Armed Forces and First Responders. Meetings are held quarterly and special observances for Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day.

Our “seniors” group meets monthly for a fellowship luncheon and takes frequent excursions to various places around Florida and beyond. Ages 55 and above.
Communications
Our bookstore houses a supply of books, religious items, icons, and more.It is open on Sundays after the Divine Liturgy.
Parish events are documented and shared via social media, our publications, and our website by photographers who capture the life of our parish.
The ministry of technology covers all things of a technological nature. This includes computers, networking, audio/visuals, our website, and cybersecurity.
Administration
This ministry focuses on maintaining our beautiful campus in South Tampa.
The Parish Council is comprised of eleven members, elected by our parishioners for a two-year term to assist our priest in administering our parish.
